And our Pricing & Revenue Management team is providing fuel for that journey by ensuring that we maximize our ticket revenue on every single flight across our network – both domestically and internationally – while giving our customers various product offerings for their travel. By analyzing market trends and forecasting consumer demand, this team works hard to ensure we are selling the right number of tickets at the right price to optimize our revenue and run a profitable airline.
Job overview and responsibilities
The Pricing and Revenue Management team develops and implements plans that generate incremental revenue for a unique set of nonstop flights or product group. The Associate Analyst - Ancillary Products optimizes revenue for United's portfolio of ancillary products, such as seat assignments, bags, etc.
Associate Analysts have multiple responsibilities including:

Analyze trends in bookings, revenue and market dynamics

Assess demand patterns and competitive landscape
-
Segment customers based on market conditions

Develop fare structure / demand forecast to optimize revenue

Plan seasonal strategy for holidays and peak travel periods

Communicate department strategy, working with other stakeholders
NOTE: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement including approximately 50% of the time spent working onsite at our Chicago office location and 50% remotely.
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor's Degree

Track record of outstanding analytical and problem solving skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others

Ability to apply quantitative skills and business acumen to airline industry

Availability to start full-time onsite employment in the next few months

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

Previous airline experience or airline internship using analytical skills

Experience analyzing data in complex high-volume, operational, financial, billing, payments or revenue-related environments

Working knowledge of SQL and experience using data-query, reporting, visualization, or observability tools.
The base pay range for this role is $53,960.00 to $70,334.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
