Job Overview
Practiced Hands Tree Care (www.practicedhandstreecare.com) is hiring a second tree climber to work alongside our lead climber/crew leaders on residential and commercial tree jobs in the greater Philadelphia area. In this position, you will utilize your climbing skills and technical knowledge to prune, remove, and care for trees, ensuring they thrive while minimizing hazards.
Duties
● Complete ground and orchard ladder tree pruning, tree climbing, aerial lift and crane removal jobs as outlined in work orders and with guidance from Alex Drennan and sales representatives.
● When appropriate, review the scope of work with the customer to make sure expectations are met. Review work with customers after the job is complete to ensure expectations are met.
● Enforce company safety and training policies while on the job site including: using PPE, inspecting and maintaining climbing gear, using industry-standard climbing techniques and tree pruning and removal techniques.
● Conduct yourself in a professional manner with respect for clients, other employees, our equipment and the job site.
- Perform routine maintenance on climbing gear and landscaping tools to ensure optimal safety standards.
- Work together with ground crew members for rigging, debris removal, and site cleanup following tree work.
Hourly Wage
Between $30-35/hour based on experience. In addition to this starting salary, we provide paid major holidays off and will provide 10 days of paid time off per calendar year.
Requirements
- 2+ years of tree climbing experience
- Valid Driver's License
- POSITIVE, TEAM-PLAYER ATTITUDE
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
