Position Overview
Via Coquina Sag Harbor is seeking a part-time Sales Associate. The ideal candidate has a refined eye for design, an appreciation for craftsmanship, and a warm, sophisticated approach to client service.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, personalized service to clients.
- Confidently close sales and contribute to achieving store goals.
- Maintain store presentation, displays, and inventory standards.
- Support trunk shows, events, and seasonal promotions.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a positive, supportive, and goal-oriented environment.
- Learn about and maintain fluency regarding Via Coquina’s product lines.
- Process all POS transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with operational and back-of-house activities.
- Willing and able to lift and/or move merchandise.
- Comply with all store policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in luxury retail boutique sales.
- Experience selling fine jewelry is a preference.
- Proven ability to close sales and help achieve store goals while maintaining professionalism and authenticity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; a genuine team player who values collaboration and shared success. Success depends on teamwork – we have a collaborative culture.
- Highly reliable and punctual
- Self-motivated and organized
- Willing to learn about new product lines, including developing expertise in jewelry
- Able to lift/move up to 30 lbs
Preferred Experience
- Working knowledge of retail store/online sales technology (e.g. Shopify Point of Sale)
- Four-year college degree preferred
