Sales Estimator
Temp-Pro is a premier manufacturer and supplier of temperature sensors, electrical enclosures, and electromechanical assembly services for industrial applications. We are looking for a Sales Estimator to support the Sales department of our company in its primary duties. Duties involve translating customer needs and specifications, converting into sales proposals/quotations to maximize sales and margin growth. You will work both independently and as part of a team reporting to the Sales Manager.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Estimates material and labor cost for customer requests for quote (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs).
· Review Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly drawings, engineering change notices (ECN) as necessary
· Compare RFQ to prior orders to confirm accurate cost estimates.
· Communicate customer information and interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, and management teams as necessary.
· Work closely with Purchasing team to evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, lead time, and quality.
· Coordinate order review and approval including pricing, notes, and customer Terms and Conditions
· Prepare quotations and proposals
· Will be required to source existing and new vendors for quotes, prepare quotes for submittal to customer, follow up and negotiate quote with customer
· Will be required to contact existing customers and potential new customers for additional business
· Coordinate order review and approval including pricing, notes and customer terms and conditions
· May need to travel on occasion to visit customers
