ABOUT THE ROLE
RJM Pest Services is seeking a hands-on Service Manager to lead our field service operations. This role is ideal for an experienced pest management professional who excels at troubleshooting, remediation, and customer problem-solving, and who is ready to take the next step into broader leadership.
This is a field-based leadership role. You will work directly with technicians, support complex service calls, resolve escalated customer issues, and ensure our service quality continues to set us apart as we grow.
The Service Manager is a critical driver of customer retention, referrals, technician development, and operational excellence.
The Service Manager is also a key component of our sales process helping evaluate new customers and giving them the confidence in the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the technical authority for pest management services, including diagnosing and resolving complex or recurring infestations
- Lead and coach service technicians through ride-alongs, training, and hands-on support
- Personally handle escalated service issues and sensitive customer situations
- Ensure service protocols, safety standards, and regulatory compliance are consistently met
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop field technicians and supervisors
- Manage service performance metrics including route efficiency, customer retention, COGS, and technician productivity
- Partner with customer service to ensure fast, professional responses to customer needs
- Lead service-side onboarding of new customers to ensure strong first impressions
- Drive continuous improvement in service quality, remediation effectiveness, and customer experience
- Collaborate with sales on new opportunities and engaging with potential customers
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of hands-on pest management experience
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and remediate difficult pest issues
- Experience leading or mentoring technicians in the field
- Strong customer-facing communication skills and professional presence
- Working knowledge of pest control regulations, safety standards, and best practices
- Comfortable managing performance, accountability, and team development

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
