Position Summary
The Director of 340B Operations & Program Performance is responsible for the operational leadership, execution excellence, and revenue integrity of the organization’s 340B vertical as it relates to 340B operations and 340B qualification activity. This role oversees assigned strategic partners, operational teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure optimal claim qualification rates, compliant program execution, and sustainable revenue performance.
This is a client-facing operational leadership role focused on improving 340B qualification performance across the portfolio by fixing operational gaps, validating eligibility, optimizing workflows, and strengthening execution across TPAs, wholesalers, manufacturers, and Covered Entities.
The core mandate of this role is to improve qualification outcomes, protect 340B revenue streams, and build scalable operational infrastructure that supports growth and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
1. 340B Operational Leadership & Revenue Integrity (60%)
Operational Strategy & Execution
· Translate corporate objectives into clear operational roadmaps for 340B program execution.
· Establish and maintain SOPs, policies, KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to drive measurable operational improvement.
· Oversee operational P&L performance for the 340B vertical, ensuring revenue protection and margin optimization.
· Develop scalable infrastructure to support portfolio growth while maintaining compliance integrity.
· Qualification Optimization & Revenue Protection
· Lead initiatives to monitor, analyze, and improve 340B qualification rates across the entire portfolio.
· Identify root causes of missed qualifications and implement corrective action plans to increase capture rates.
· Ensure consistent, HRSA-ready implementation quality, speed, and documentation completeness for all new contracts.
· Standardize execution across the 340B Lite portfolio to drive operational consistency.
· Monitor and ensure timely approvals, orders, deliveries, and payment cycles for 340B Lite customers.
Vendor & Manufacturer Alignment
· Partner with wholesalers and drug manufacturers to restore lost or mispriced 340B eligibility and pricing.
· Proactively address pricing discrepancies, contract gaps, and qualification barriers.
· Strengthen strategic vendor relationships to support program continuity and financial performance.
Value Creation & Program Expansion
· Collaborate with field leadership and strategic partners to expand ADM opportunities and improve referral capture programs.
· Identify operational opportunities to enhance value creation initiatives across covered entities.
· Drive measurable improvement in overall 340B program economics through operational enhancements.
Cross-Functional Execution
· Partner across compliance, sales, implementation, IT, finance, and Shared Services to ensure aligned and efficient program execution.
· Proactively identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
· Serve as a key operational escalation point for strategic partner concerns and complex program issues.

· Hire, develop, and lead high-performing operational teams aligned to company growth objectives.
· Establish clear performance expectations tied to KPIs, qualification rates, implementation timelines, and revenue metrics.
· Maintain full accountability for team output, execution quality, and goal achievement.
· Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and structured development planning.
· Ensure appropriate staffing levels to support portfolio demands.

· Develop and maintain dashboards tracking qualification rates, implementation speed, compliance status, referral capture performance, and financial metrics.
· Provide structured daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to leadership.
· Identify trends, operational bottlenecks, and financial risk areas using data-driven analysis.
· Deliver executive-level presentations outlining program performance, improvement initiatives, and strategic opportunities.

Education & Experience Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent experience).
· 3–5+ years of progressive experience within pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare operations.
· Direct 340B operational experience within the Specialty Pharmacy space strongly preferred.
· Candidates with 5+ years of specialty pharmacy experience with demonstrated operational leadership may be considered.
· Proven experience leading teams and managing performance metrics required.
