South Philly EMDR and Psychotherapy is a counseling practice in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia looking to hire fee-for-service therapists for adults. We are looking for therapists trained in EMDR (or willing to do so) and interested in in-person, virtual, or hybrid sessions to interested clients.
As of right now, we are only offering 1099 contract positions. However, we will be offering W2 status with benefits (PTO, insurance reimbursement, 401k match) starting January 2027.
We offer a competitive rate for licensed and provisionally licensed therapists. Therapists are welcome to take on private pay clients, join the practice's insurance panels, or a combination of both.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (Required)
Licensed or Provisionally Licensed (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LAPC, LSW etc.) in Pennsylvania (Required)
Completed EMDR Training (if not trained, then willing to train)
Ability to work in-person at least twice per week
Ability to work at least one evening per week
Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and electronic health record systems
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to empathize and connect with clients
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must have or be able to obtain professional liability insurance
- Proficient in various therapy modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or psychodynamic therapy
- Strong assessment skills to accurately diagnose mental health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and interventions for managing symptoms and promoting well-being
- Experience providing counseling and support for individuals dealing with gender-related issues is preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual therapy sessions either virtually or in-person with clients to address mental health concerns and promote overall well-being
- Opportunities to facilitate group therapy sessions to provide support and guidance to clients in a group setting
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to develop personalized treatment plans
- Utilize behavioral health techniques and interventions to help clients manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life
- Provide counseling and support for individuals dealing with gender-related issues
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure holistic care for patients
-Provide clinical supervision to Associate Level therapists, if desired

We require vaccination records to be shown or everyone will be masked as per Philadelphia mandate. We also offer telehealth options. Clients are given the choice between in-person, telehealth, or a combination of both.
