American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry (Oncology) position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a focus on oncology patients
-
Patient population includes those receiving chemotherapy, soft tissue malignancy treatment, symptom management, and comorbidity management
-
Continuous cardiac monitoring is a core component of patient care on this unit
-
Strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4

Shifts are 3x12-hour days (7:00–19:30) or nights (19:00–7:30); rotating day/night schedule based on department needs

Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period

Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

EMR: Epic (experience required)
-
Special equipment includes GE B450 telemetry monitors, Bladder Scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds

Active OH RN license or Compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Current BLS certification required

Epic EMR experience required

Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation required

Skills required: port access, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, IV starts, assisting with chest tube insertion/removal, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and ABG interpretation

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Oncology experience is preferred but not required

Previous travel nursing experience is preferred

Local candidates are accepted

Former employees of this facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and will be built into the contract; RTO is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration

Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting the position; candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently upon receipt
