We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and grow our Restoration & Reconstruction Division in Saint Charles, IL. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on construction professional who can manage projects, build relationships, and take ownership of growing a division.
The division has historically generated over $2 million in sales and is positioned for growth. This role will initially operate as a key leader managing projects, subcontractors, and customers while helping rebuild and expand the division. As the division grows, there will be opportunities to help build a team, including future Construction Superintendents and Coordinators.
Responsibilities:
- Visit properties following mitigation services to meet with homeowners and assess reconstruction needs
- Prepare detailed estimates using Xactimate
- Review scopes of work, write estimates, and secure reconstruction projects
- Manage reconstruction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and vendors
- Maintain project schedules, budgets, and profitability
- Communicate with customers, insurance professionals, and internal teams
- Ensure quality control and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
- Help develop processes and grow the reconstruction division
Requirements:
- 5+ years of construction management and/or restoration reconstruction experience
- Strong Xactimate estimating experience required
- Proven ability to manage projects from estimate through completion
- Experience overseeing subcontractors and production teams
- Knowledge of insurance restoration, reconstruction processes, and project management
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of results
- Existing subcontractor relationships are a plus but not required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 (Depending on Experience)
- Commission: 3% of Project Margin
- Additional earning potential as the division grows
