New Horizon Counseling Center (NHCC) is a leading non-profit behavioral health organization licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), and New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). NHCC is seeking a LCSW, LMSW or LMHC with substance abuse experience for our Valley Stream outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience with the SUD population with a Masters in Mental Health. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus. Flexible hours are available. We are seeking a LCSW, LMSW or LMHC with experience providing clinical and substance abuse services to adolescents and adults. Should possess a strong clinical base and Chemical Dependency experience. Individual must have excellent clinical, communication, documentation and organizational skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Completing screening and intake assessments.
- Conducting individual, family and group psychotherapy (as needed) that is focused and goal oriented as clinically determined.
- Development and participating in client treatment plans.
- Crisis intervention.
- Formulating discharge plans.
- Contributing to Program development and evaluation
- Some evenings are required
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
