Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Parts Puller (1099 Contractor)to join our team. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for identifying, photographing, and removing automotive parts from vehicles. Your primary duties will include taking clear photos of parts using your phone, submitting them to supervisors for approval, and pulling parts once confirmation is received. Contractors must provide their own tools.
Duties
- Locate and identify requested car parts in the lot.
- Take clear, high-quality photos of parts using a smartphone and send them to supervisors for review.
- Pull and retrieve approved parts upon confirmation.
- Handle and store parts carefully to prevent damage.
- Maintain an organized workspace and follow safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors to ensure efficiency in part retrieval.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work as a 1099 independent contractor.
- Must provide their own tools for part removal.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts and their locations.
- Ability to use a smartphone to take and send clear photos.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and remove car parts as needed.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Compensation
- Starting rate typically between $18–$22/hour
- Flexible work schedule based on available inventory and demand.
