Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages with precision, flair, and attention to detail, ensuring each drink meets quality standards.
- Engage with guests warmly, taking orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha/Toast POS or Micros POS, and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently through excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to food safety and food handling protocols, including proper sanitation and alcohol service regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures while balancing registers at shift end.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators during catering, banquet events, or nightclub functions to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Stay informed about menu offerings, including brewing options or specialty cocktails, to assist guests effectively and boost sales.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality roles, preferably with fine dining, nightclub, or banquet experience.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with an energetic approach to engaging guests and creating a lively atmosphere.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail; excellent time management is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding for sales upselling opportunities.
- Previous restaurant or retail experience in the food industry is preferred; experience with catering or food service during large events is a plus.
