Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our land clearing team. This position involves working in various outdoor environments, primarily on wooded sites, where you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the grounds through a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a Forestry Mulcher, Excavator, Tractor, and Chain Saws. Good mechanical knowledge is needed to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including skid steers, loaders, excavators, and tractors to perform site preparation and maintenance tasks.
- Assist in land clearing operations by using a chainsaw to fell and cut up trees.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and performing tasks.
Skills
- Proven experience in equipment operation, particularly with skid steers, loaders, excavators, and tractors.
- Experience operating a chainsaw and felling trees is a plus.
- Having a Class A CDL is a plus but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on collaboration and communication within the crew.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong attention to detail in all aspects of work.
