Responsibilities
- Manage daily bakery operations, including production schedules, inventory control, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
- Lead and motivate bakery staff, providing training on food safety, cake decorating techniques, and food preparation standards
- Prepare a variety of baked goods such as bread, pastries, cookies, and specialty items following established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision and creativity to meet customer specifications and enhance presentation appeal
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, proper food handling procedures, and cleanliness protocols across all bakery activities
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, knives, and decorating tools
- Package baked goods professionally for retail display or catering orders while maintaining product freshness and quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, baking, pastry preparation, or culinary roles within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong cake decorating skills with an eye for detail and artistic flair
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; proficiency with knives and other baking tools required
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach to engaging with clients and team members
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels
- High-volume production experience preferred; capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Catering or restaurant experience is a plus; familiarity with recipe adherence and food handling regulations
