We provide paid training to become a Certified Nursing Assistant through classwork and lab skills. CNA Class runs for three weeks starting in early June and has limited and selective seating with only top candidates chosen.
**Concordia pays for the class, class materials & pay you while attending the class!**
Rate of pay while in the class is $17.50/hour.
Once each student "graduates" from class, they are paid $20/hour while working on the floor prior to testing. In addition, Concordia provides $2.00/hour shift differentials for afternoon and $1.50/hour shift differentials for midnight shifts and an additional $1.00/hour for all shifts on the weekends.
Once CNA certification is obtained, base wage increases to $21/hour.
Full-time and part-time positions are available for the afternoon and midnight shifts and include an every other weekend rotation.
CNA Training Program Qualifications:
- Must be caring, compassionate and understanding
- High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will have the ability to provide direct care for the residents here at Concordia and get to work in an environment with the best staffing ratios.
Main Certified Nursing Assistant Responsibilities:
- assisting residents with eating and drinking
- ambulating, transferring, toileting, bladder and bowel management
- personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, turning and positioning
- documenting the care that was provided
- providing treatment per the ADL/treatment book
- answering resident call bells and responding to needs promptly.
