About MGM Association Management
MGM Association Management provides professional management services to homeowners associations (HOAs) and community associations throughout Idaho. We handle the operational, financial, and administrative needs of communities so boards can focus on enhancing resident life and maintaining thriving neighborhoods.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to play a critical role in managing the financial operations for our portfolio of HOAs. You will ensure that vendor invoices and other payables are processed accurately and on time, maintain a clean general ledger, and support accurate financial reporting that boards and management rely on for decision-making.
This is a key position for financial integrity. You will work closely with our Account Managers and internal team to keep community finances organized, compliant, and transparent.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and pay HOA vendor invoices on time, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
- Maintain the general ledger with accurate and timely journal entries.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate financial reports, budgets, and supporting schedules for HOA boards.
- Help monitor accounts payable and receivable activity.
- Support year-end closing processes and work with external accountants as needed.
- Collaborate with the team on financial questions related to community operations, reserves, and special assessments.
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows and controls.
Requirements
- **Required**: Solid accounting and bookkeeping experience (minimum 2+ years preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks experience is a strong plus).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple HOA accounts simultaneously.
- Good communication skills — you’ll interact with Account Managers, vendors, and occasionally board members.
- Experience in property management, real estate, or HOA accounting is a plus but not required.
What We Offer
- Hybrid work arrangement (Meridian office + work-from-home days) or fully in-office, based on your preference.
- Opportunity to support real communities with meaningful financial stewardship.
- Collaborative team environment with growing use of technology tools to streamline processes.
- Competitive compensation and room for growth within the company.
If you are a meticulous bookkeeper who takes pride in clean books, timely payments, and supporting smooth community operations, we encourage you to apply.
