Duties
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and maintaining accurate medication records
- Prepare and package medications for patients
- Perform inventory management and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns
- MUST have long term care experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and inventory management
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient care
- Familiarity with aseptic technique for sterile compounding and IV infusion preparation
- Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and inventory management
