Greater NY Nursing Services is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to play a key role in developing the next generation of healthcare professionals. In this position, you will lead orientation programs, conduct hands-on clinical training, and help ensure our clinicians are equipped to provide exceptional care to patients in the home setting. Conduct orientation and training programs for newly hired clinicians, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
Provide classroom, skills lab, and one-on-one clinical instruction to nurses and home health aides.
Facilitate education on ventilator care, tracheostomy care, G-tube management, medication administration, infection control, and other clinical competencies.
Evaluate clinician competency through skills assessments, return demonstrations, and ongoing performance reviews.
Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and mentorship to support professional development and clinical excellence.
Develop and maintain educational materials, training resources, and competency validation tools.
Collaborate with Recruitment, Human Resources, Coordination, and Clinical teams to support onboarding and clinician development initiatives.
Serve as a clinical resource for field staff, providing guidance and support related to patient care and best practices.
Assist with quality assurance and compliance initiatives related to clinical training and competency requirements.
Conduct occasional supervisory visits and competency evaluations in the field as needed.
Maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Promote a positive learning environment that encourages engagement, critical thinking, and professional growth.
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
BSN preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in home care, private duty nursing, or community-based healthcare.
Prior experience in nursing education, staff development, precepting, or clinical instruction strongly preferred.
Strong experience with ventilator, tracheostomy, and G-tube patients preferred.
Demonstrated ability to educate, mentor, and coach adult learners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Experience with EMR systems preferred but not required.
