Overview

A skilled Landscape Technician can be one with experience or simply a fast learner who is willing to learn. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices. This role involves various tasks aimed at enhancing and maintaining the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces. The Landscape Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their landscaping needs are met while adhering to safety standards and best practices. Most desirably, this candidate would provide high quality work to all our clients and set the tone for other team members, qualifying them to step up as the manager of the landscape maintenance division.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, and mulching to ensure properties are well-kept.
- Engage in snow plowing and shoveling during winter months to maintain accessibility for clients.
- Conduct tree care and bush/hedge care activities such as tree trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth and aesthetics.
- Build and install landscape features, including flower beds, retaining walls, and pathways.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
- Dig and prepare soil for planting new vegetation or installing features.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while ensuring high-quality results.
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with snow plowing techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of tree care practices, including trimming and pruning, is beneficial.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively is essential.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions are required.
- A valid driver's license will be necessary for transporting equipment between job sites.

Compensation
- $22 per hour, overtime seasonally available at $33/hr after 40 hours.
- Possible PTO discussed after one year probation and performance review
- We do not work Sundays unless there is a snow/ice event.
- Any future pay raise is congruent with performance and only effective when you are.
