Operations Manager
Houston, TX | Full-Time, Monday – Friday
$55,000 – $65,000 Base + Performance Bonuses & Commissions + Company Truck (est. $10,000/year value)
The Opportunity
Outdoor Lighting Perspectives is one of the fastest-growing outdoor lighting companies in the country, and we're looking for an Operations Manager to become the backbone of our day-to-day field and team operations. This role owns the schedule, the crew, and the details that keep installs and service running like clockwork — without getting buried behind a desk. Total compensation includes base salary, performance bonuses, commissions, and a company truck worth an estimated $10,000/year in saved gas, tolls, and vehicle wear.
You'll run the morning huddle, keep the schedule tight, hold the team accountable to standards, and make the call when something needs fixing on the spot. If you take ownership without being told twice, hold people to a standard, and want to build something real inside a growing company — this is your seat.
What You'll Own
- Run the daily tech huddle and keep the team aligned on the day's schedule
- Manage team performance, conflict resolution, and day-to-day accountability
- Drive hiring and firing recommendations — final approval stays with ownership
- Partner with the office/admin team to build and maintain the install and service schedule
- Support the sales process — proposal follow-up and occasional consults
- Step into install or service work directly when the team is short-staffed
- Lead seasonal hiring and crew scheduling for the holiday lighting season
- Manage warehouse inventory and keep supplies stocked and organized
- Train and develop the technician and admin teams on process and standards
- Work directly with ownership with full visibility into the numbers that matter

Requirements & Qualifications
- Construction, field services, or trades leadership experience recommended
- Project management or team supervision experience
- Strong organizational skills and comfort with CRM/scheduling software (we use ServiceMinder)
- Calm, steady presence under pressure with clear, direct communication
- Ability to pass a background check, including a clean driving record
- Bonus: lighting, landscaping, or construction background
Compensation & Benefits
- $55,000 – $65,000 base salary, based on skills & experience
