YMCA School-Age Child Care Site Coordinator
The School-Age Child Care (SACC) program provides elementary school children with a safe and fun place to be, before and after school. We operate in the Gyms and cafeterias of 12 Kennewick elementary schools. On a typical week we provide care on M,T,TH,F from 6:30am-8:30am & 3:00pm-6:00pm and on Wednesdays from 6:30am-8:30am & 1:45pm-6:00pm. We also provide care on half days and no school days (excluding national holidays).

Schedule: Split Shift, M-F
Salary: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

GENERAL FUNCTION
Coordinates, supervises, and manages a School-Age Child Care (SACC) site to implement a high quality, developmentally appropriate child care program according to YMCA and Washington State guidelines.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
1. Maintains site record keeping, including but not limited to attendance records, immunization records, registration information, incident reports, discipline records and fire evacuation records.
2. Supervises part-time staff and volunteers as well as providing direct supervision of children.
3. Coordinates planning, implementation and evaluation of SACC programs.
4. Follow WAC for school age licensed care.
5. Fosters positive relationships with children, families, school personnel and the community.
6. Facilitates daily activities utilizing staff, child and family input.
7. Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical, disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
8. Maintains safety and health standards by overseeing responses to medical and emergency situations.
9. Ensures that site supplies are maintained and stocked as necessary.
10. Maintains the daily cleanliness and safety of the site.
11. Individual must possess a genuine love and demonstrated passion for youth development.
12. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 21 years of age or older with 30 or more college credits, Child Development, ECE or School Age related field preferred
Current First Aid/CPR Training (or willing to get)
STARS 30-hour School-Age training (or willing to get)
TB test (up to 12 months prior to employment)(or willing to get)
Be able to clear a Portable Background Check including fingerprints if required by DCYF
Bloodborne Pathogens (HIV/Aids) Training (or willing to get)
Food Handlers Permit (or willing to get)
Experience working with children in an organized setting
Must be able to meet state licensing requirements for child care workers
