Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial, residential, or industrial spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for mixing, application, and disposal to ensure effective sanitation without hazards
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture, equipment, or supplies in accordance with safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance
- Restock supplies and manage custodial inventory efficiently to support ongoing cleaning operations
- Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally during cleaning assignments
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper handling of chemical agents
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safety practices
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools
- Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence related to chemical handling and facility maintenance
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is a plus
