Collision Repair Office Advisor
A growing, high-volume collision repair shop is seeking a collision repair office advisor to join our team. This position has a primary focus on customer service. Previous experience in the automotive industry and/or auto body estimating is a plus. Must be willing to learn estimating and shop management software.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience & Communication
- Greet walk-in customers and handle incoming phone calls with a warm, professional, and helpful attitude.
- Provide proactive updates to customers regarding their vehicle’s repair status, document approvals, keep detailed file notes
- Communicate with insurance companies on initial approvals, payment status, etc.
Front Office Operations
- Office operations include answering phones, scheduling appointments, file creation/documentation, checking customers in and out, and similar functions.
Estimating & Technical duties
- Check parts availability for scheduled repairs
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to assess collision damage and provide preliminary estimates using estimating software.
- Photo documentation of vehicle and related and unrelated damage.
- Guide customers through the repair process, explaining technical estimates in plain, easy-to-understand language.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Previous experience as an auto body estimator is preferred; experience in a customer service role is required.
- Connecting with Customers: Exceptional interpersonal skills. You must genuinely enjoy talking to people and be able to treat customers with empathy during what can be a stressful time for them.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with computers and the ability to navigate software quickly.
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughly inspect a vehicle, gather all details and documentation needed, and make sure the files are properly updated.
- Organization: Time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks on the fly in a bustling office environment.
Schedule & Hours:
- Shift: Full-time Monday through Friday
- Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required
Job Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to drive vehicles as needed. Insurability is non-negotiable.
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Experience using CCC One (or other collision estimating software) is a plus but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and function in a fast paced environment
- Availability to work overtime during periods of heavy work volume
- Maintain an organized work environment
- Ability to lift over 35lbs
As an I-Car Gold facility, we will provide I-Car training. Any previous I-Car credits are a plus.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
