Experienced Construction Industry Accountant Wanted
Position: Full-Time Construction Accountant
Location: Savannah/Richmond Hill, GA

We are a growing construction firm seeking a highly skilled Construction Industry Accountant to manage and oversee all facets of our financial operations. This role is ideal for an individual with a sharp analytical mindset, deep knowledge of construction financials, and a proactive approach to forecasting
and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze job cost reports, identifying variances and ensuring budget alignment
Maintain profit and loss statements, general ledger, and cost accounting systems
Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and reconcile cash flow statements and balance sheets
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reports
Provide financial forecasting and model future cash flow and cost trends
Identify financial issues before they impact operations and recommend corrective actions
Coordinate with project managers and field staff to ensure accuracy of job costing and financial data
Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant industry regulations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Long-term successful experience may offset the education
requirement(CPA preferred but not required)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction accounting
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Fountain, Sage 300, or similar)
Strong understanding of construction job costing, WIP schedules, and project-based accounting
Ability to forecast and analyze trends to support operational decision-making
Excellent communication and organizational skills
