Overview
Gold Guys is seeking a precious metals buyer/ assayer to join our team. This role is strongly focused on customer service, helping clients understand the value of their precious metals while supporting our assaying and metals evaluation process.
You will work directly with customers, answer questions, and help guide them through the testing and evaluation process. No prior experience with metals is required — we will teach you about metals, testing methods, and the industry. The most important quality we’re looking for is someone who enjoys helping people and providing excellent service.
Duties
- Greet customers and provide a welcoming, professional experience.
- Assist with testing and evaluating metals and other items.
- Explain testing results and material values in a simple, easy-to-understand way.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cash handling duties.
- Help develop and maintain relationships with customers.
- Maintain stores cleanliness via daily and weekly tasks.
What We're Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, professional attitude with a focus on helping people.
- Willingness to learn technical skills related to metals and assaying.
- Strong basic math skills.
Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour
