GLASS INSTALLER - COMMERCIAL

ABOUT THE ROLE
RL James is looking for a skilled and professional Glass Installer to join our team in the Sarasota Bradenton area. This is a field-based role for someone who takes pride in clean, precise work, communicates well with customers and crew, and holds themselves to a high standard in every job.
You will be responsible for completing glass installation assignments at commercial job sites, safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail from start to finish.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Insulated Glass (IG) Unit Replacement
- Frameless Shower Enclosures
- Mirrors
- Storefront Glass Systems
- Flat Glass - Cut & Polish
- Windows & Doors (Residential & Commercial)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review daily assignments and all corresponding paperwork before heading to the job site.
- Pull glass and materials from the shop, verify sizes, and inspect defects prior to installation.
- Select appropriate tools, safety equipment, and parts based on job requirements.
- Travel to customer locations and assess the scope of work upon arrival.
- Install glass in a safe, timely, and professional manner without damage to customer property.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site and secure all tools and materials on the truck at the end of each day.
- Report any damage, incidents, or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Stay current on installation processes, techniques, and product knowledge.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3–5 years of experience in glass installation, glazing, or a closely related field required.
- Ability to read work orders, verify measurements, and ensure accuracy before and during installation.
- Ability to work at heights and on elevated access systems; experience with swing stage or aerial lift equipment is a plus.
- Professional, customer-facing demeanor, you will interact directly with commercial clients.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship on every job.
- Ability to work safely, independently, and efficiently in the field.
- Valid driver's license required; must be able to operate a company vehicle.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
