Schepers Concrete Construction, LLC – West Michigan
Position Summary
Schepers Concrete Construction is a family-owned company that has been serving West Michigan for over 30 years. We are seeking a dependable and safety-minded CDL Truck Driver to transport construction equipment, concrete forms, tools, materials, and miscellaneous supplies to and from our job sites throughout West Michigan. This position offers home-daily scheduling and the opportunity to serve as a backup Concrete Pump Operator when needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport construction equipment, concrete forms, tools, and materials to project sites.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle inspection reports.
- Assist with equipment deliveries, pickups, and transfers between job sites, yards, and vendors.
- Operate flatbed, dump, pickup, trailer, and other company vehicles as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck and trailer.
- Assist field crews with loading, unloading, and job site logistics as needed.
- Serve as a backup Concrete Pump Operator and assist with pump setup, operation, and cleanup when required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, project managers, superintendents, and field personnel.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A preferred (Class B considered with appropriate experience).
- Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
- Experience hauling construction equipment and trailers preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and cargo securement requirements.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor maintenance is a plus.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is beneficial.
- Concrete construction experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical job duties.
