Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our clinic. The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals with patient assessments, performing clinical tasks, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the medical environment.
Responsibilities
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Draw patient labs.
- Assist in the examination and treatment of patients by preparing them for procedures.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers and monitor patient responses.
- Maintain accurate patient records using medical terminology and coding practices.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Prepare examination rooms by cleaning and stocking supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
- Proficiency in measuring vital signs and understanding medical terminology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Experience in inpatient settings or urgent care environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with coding practices related to medical documentation is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating compassion for patients.
