American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and the ability to float across multiple children's acute care units on nights.

Hospital-based pediatric float pool position covering a wide range of children's acute care units
-
Float assignments include a 34-bed PICU, 25-bed CICU, 112-bed NICU (feeder-grower/low acuity patients only), surgical, behavioral health, med specialty (GI, neuro, respiratory), hem/onc, step-down, and cardiac peds units

Patient population spans pediatric acute care through low-acuity neonatal (feeder-grower) care

Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Weekend and holiday coverage required

Experience with trach care, high-flow oxygen, and IV infusion required; travelers serve as first-line resource for skills

Active OK RN license or compact (eNLC) RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and PALS, both issued by the American Heart Association

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Level 1 Trauma experience required

Ability to float across all children's acute care units, including PICU, CICU, and NICU (low acuity only)

Experience with trach care, high-flow oxygen therapy, and IV infusion

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Full date of birth required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract; prior travelers may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks unless otherwise approved

Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
