Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing according to established procedures.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal care.
- Perform dry cleaning services for delicate or specialized garments as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly sanitizing workstations and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when restocking is necessary.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries during laundry operations.
- Assist with other housekeeping duties as assigned to support overall hotel cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven experience with laundry processes, including washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning techniques.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure linens and garments are cleaned thoroughly and correctly.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry machines safely and efficiently.
- Good organizational skills for managing multiple loads of laundry simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures related to laundry operations.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential.
