Job Overview
Our After School program offers an extended day and enriching activities for our thriving Preschool and Kindergarten campus.
The ideal candidate will be curious about Montessori philosophy, and be a warm and caring team member. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating prepared environment where children can blossom academically, socially, and emotionally.
The hours are Monday - Wednesday 11:30 - 5:30 and Thursday and Friday 8:30 - 5:30.
Duties
- Give Montessori-style presentations on circle
- Sing songs, read picture books, and lead community building activities
- Create a democratic classroom environment based on mutual respect and freedom within limits
- Collaborate with the teaching team to create a harmonious and peaceful environment for the students
Skills
- Experience working in a classroom
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff effectively
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain a calm and positive atmosphere
