Responsibilities
- Safely ascend trees using climbing gear, rigging techniques, and bucket trucks to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks
- Operate bucket trucks and other equipment such as bucket lifts to access hard-to-reach areas efficiently
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, shaping, and health assessments to promote growth and safety
- Assist with landscape maintenance projects like lawn care, planting, and general landscaping to improve overall site aesthetics
- Ensure all rigging procedures are performed correctly to secure branches or equipment during work operations
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members
Requirements
- Knowledge of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, and disease management
- Experience operating bucket trucks, lifts, or similar machinery used in arboriculture and landscape work
- Familiarity with rigging techniques for safe tree removal or branch lowering
- Ability to work at heights confidently while maintaining safety standards
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to climb trees, lift heavy tools or branches, and perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of GIS technology is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for interested candidates
