Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Medicine Physician Assistant to join our comprehensive healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in primary care, with expertise in patient assessment, medical record management, and clinical procedures. This role offers an opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care across diverse populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adult medicine, within a dynamic healthcare environment. The Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using electronic health record (EHR) systems - NextGEN
- Manage acute and chronic conditions through evidence-based treatment plans, including pain management, infectious disease care, and urgent care interventions.
- Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, injection administration ,and basic life support techniques.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory data collection, and diagnostic coding (ICD-10).
- Provide triage services in both outpatient and telehealth settings to prioritize patient needs effectively.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records while adhering to NCQA standards for quality care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Physician Assistant with current licensure in the relevant state or region.
- Proven experience in family medicine or primary care settings.
- Familiarity with EMR system NextGEN proficiency in CPT coding and ICD coding is essential.
- Demonstrated skills in physical examinations, diagnostic evaluation, medication administration, and patient education.
- Knowledge of physiology principles relevant to pediatrics, geriatrics, and post-acute care.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and radiation therapy basics when applicable.
