Customer Service Representative
Robert F. Henry Tile is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused team member to join our showroom team! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping customers, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
You’ll assist customers with product selections, order entry, order updates, and showroom support while working closely with our sales, warehouse, and vendor teams to ensure an excellent customer experience from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
- Enter customer orders received by phone and email into our system
- Assist customers with product information, pricing, stock checks, and order status updates
- Help customers select products that best fit their needs and preferences
- Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and vendors to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
- Process special orders, returns, exchanges, and backorders
- Maintain customer notes and order updates within our software system
- Greet customers in person and over the phone in a professional and welcoming manner
- Help maintain an organized and visually appealing showroom
- Assist with labeling samples, stocking displays, and ordering vendor catalogs/materials
- Collect customer payments using our point-of-sale system
- Support a positive team environment and follow all company safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous customer service, retail, showroom, or sales support experience preferred
- Strong communication and people skills
- Organized and detail-oriented with good time management skills
- Comfortable learning about tile, flooring, and design-related products
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Basic math skills, including measuring spaces and room dimensions
- Ability to read blueprints or elevations is a plus
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Active showroom and warehouse environment
- Frequent standing, walking, and assisting customers throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Work around tile, flooring, stone products, and showroom materials daily
