Join our dynamic team as a GOTV Canvasser and play a vital role in engaging communities and promoting important civic initiatives. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference through direct voter outreach, community education, and grassroots campaigning. As a key representative of our organization, you'll energize voters, foster meaningful conversations, and help shape the future of civic engagement. We are looking for canvassers in the Muscogee, Chatham, and South GA regions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door canvassing to educate residents about political candidates, initiatives, or ballot measures
- Engage with community members through friendly, informative conversations to build awareness and support
- Utilize strong communication skills to clearly explain campaign messages and answer questions
- Assist in organizing events or rallies to boost campaign visibility and voter participation
- Enter voter contact data into miniVAN
- Maintain detailed records of interactions, voter responses, and campaign activities for reporting purposes
- Qualifications:
- Previous experience in supervising teams or leading outreach efforts is a plus
- Strong background in marketing, customer service, sales, or telemarketing enhances your ability to connect effectively
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to reach diverse communities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and persuade convincingly
- Experience in door-to-door canvassing or grassroots campaigning is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Passion for civic engagement, politics, or community service is highly valued

Working Conditions:
- Canvassers must be prepared to work in all types of weather, complete light physical activities such as standing or walking for long periods of time.
- May infrequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to read a map.
- Ability to walk for at least 4 hours daily to canvass door-to-door.
- Reliable transportation to and from the staging location will be required.
