American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Elizabethtown, KY, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and multiple certifications including ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.

Works in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital providing urgent and emergency medical care

Night shift schedule: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM, 3 days per week (3x12)

Weekend and holiday rotation required

36 hours per week

Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC

Minimum education: ADN or ASN (BSN preferred)

Previous nursing experience preferred

Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures

Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, treatment implementation, patient and family education, and facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge processes

Nursing practice is evidence-based and guided by hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines

Active participation in unit-based quality improvement activities is expected

Delegates and oversees patient care tasks performed by other team members
