Los Angeles Apparel is a rapidly expanding, vertically integrated fashion company controlling every aspect of production from design and manufacturing to distribution. We're seeking a motivated Junior Developer to support the build-out of backend systems, data infrastructure, and integrations that drive business decisions across our organization.
The Role
This hands-on technical position focuses on supporting the development of backend systems, APIs, data pipelines, and business intelligence solutions. You'll work closely with senior developers and stakeholders across the company to build, maintain, and improve the tools and infrastructure that power daily operations.
What We're Looking For

0–2 years of experience in backend development, data engineering, or a related technical role (internships and academic projects count)

Proficiency in Python and working knowledge of SQL

Foundational understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL concepts

Exposure to or interest in API development and system integrations

Familiarity with dashboarding or data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) is a plus

Eagerness to learn ERP systems and enterprise software workflows

Strong communication skills with willingness to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
Key Responsibilities

Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines, database schemas, and backend services under the guidance of senior developers

Support the development of RESTful APIs and integrations between ERP systems, third-party platforms, and internal tools

Help build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for Operations, Sales, Finance, and Production teams

Write clean, well-documented code and contribute to internal technical documentation and SOPs

Troubleshoot bugs, data quality issues, and system errors; escalate and communicate blockers to the team

Participate in code reviews, team standups, and project planning with increasing independence over time
Preferred Experience
Fashion, retail, manufacturing, or supply chain technology | Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) | Front-end technologies (React, Vue.js) | Workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt)
This is a full-time position, starting rate is $18.42/hour with medical and dental benefits, 401k, and overtime opportunities. Cover letter is not required.
