Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Liquor Store Manager to lead our retail operations with enthusiasm and professionalism with 50+ hours per week . In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, and drive sales growth with an opportunity to sales-based commission on select category products on top of Base Salary. Your leadership will foster a positive shopping environment, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold all store policies and procedures. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your management skills and retail expertise will make a significant impact.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and store safety protocols
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of employees through effective training, coaching, and performance evaluations
- Manage inventory control by overseeing stock levels, ordering purchasing supplies, and conducting regular stock audits
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Implement merchandising strategies to optimize product displays, pricing accuracy, and promotional campaigns
- Oversee payroll processing, scheduling shifts, and managing employee orientation to ensure smooth staffing levels
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, inventory tracking, and reporting purposes
Skills
- Strong management skills with proven experience in retail or store supervision
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers in multiple languages or bilingual settings
- Proficiency in inventory management, purchasing, bookkeeping, and retail math for accurate financial handling
- Skilled in negotiation, marketing strategies, and sales management to boost store performance
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management, training & development, and supervising staff
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail pricing techniques
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with budgeting, payroll processing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and store marketing initiatives
