About EGR
EGR Architectural Millwork is an established commercial casework and millwork manufacturer based in Oklahoma City, delivering precision-crafted woodwork for corporate, healthcare, hospitality, and institutional interiors. We are a family-oriented company with a genuine commitment to growing our people alongside the business — and we have a track record of doing exactly that.
We offer a collaborative, team-first culture, a compressed workweek with half-day Fridays, and a workplace where your contributions are recognized and your career can grow. If you are looking for a company that invests in you, EGR is it.
The Role
EGR is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team. This is a role that combines precise, technical estimating with relationship-driven business development — you will not just be running numbers, you will be helping shape which projects EGR pursues and building the client relationships that fuel our growth.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, an excellent communicator, and someone who takes pride in accuracy and follow-through. Experience in architectural millwork is a plus, but not a requirement — EGR provides hands-on training in reading architectural drawings and using our estimating software. What we cannot train is drive, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in building something.
What You'll Do
Estimating & Takeoffs
- Read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and construction documents to develop accurate project cost estimates
- Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs using EGR's estimating software, following established procedures and quality standards
- Review bid documents for scope, inclusions, exclusions, and constructability considerations before submitting estimates
- Meet all bid deadlines with complete, accurate, and well-documented submittals
Bid Development & Business Development
- Work with the Lead Estimator and Business Development team to maintain a full bid calendar and support revenue goals
- Identify appropriate projects to pursue based on EGR's capabilities, capacity, and strategic priorities
- Track bid results, win/loss trends, and market opportunities to inform future estimating strategy
Client Relationships & Communication
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, architects, and owners through consistent, professional communication
- Serve as a responsive, knowledgeable point of contact during the bid and pre-award process
- Coordinate clearly with internal departments — Project Management, Engineering, and Production — to ensure accurate scope hand-offs on awarded projects
- Provide thorough documentation of all bids, communications, and project details in EGR's systems
What You'll Bring
Required
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy — estimating errors have real consequences and you take that seriously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable communicating professionally with clients, GCs, and internal teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple active bids simultaneously
- Ability to reliably commute to Oklahoma City, OK 73107
Preferred / A Plus
- Experience reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications (EGR will provide training for strong candidates without this background)
- Background in architectural millwork, casework, or a related commercial construction trade
- Experience in estimating, sales, or business development
- Familiarity with construction estimating software. Examples:
a) Bluebeam Revu
b) INNERGY
