SALARY RANGE $155,000 - $215,000/year
DUTIES As a successful candidate for the System Administrator II role, you will provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems while managing IT system infrastructure and processes related to those systems. You will support day-to-day IT operations, including monitoring and resolving issues across client, server, storage, network, and mobile devices. You will provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution while supporting escalation processes and communicating status updates to agency management and internal customers. You will assist with the dispatch system and hardware issues and remain engaged through the resolution process. You will also configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load operating system software, troubleshoot system issues, maintain system integrity, configure network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
Provide in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems
Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems, and remain involved in the resolution process
Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load operating system software, troubleshoot issues, maintain system integrity, configure network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance
QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, five (5) additional years of System Administrator experience may be substituted.
Additional Requirements:
Three (3) years of experience installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and using system security tools, including container security, virtual machine security, security boundary enforcement, configuration tools, and reporting tools
Three (3) years of experience with tools such as ELK, Tripwire, VMware, and the RedHat SE Linux security tool suite is strongly preferred
