Job Summary
We're seeking a dependable Direct Support Professional to provide direct support and assistance to our client. This role involves community integration, activity participation, and daily living support in a home-based setting. The ideal candidate is punctual, communicative, and genuinely committed to client wellbeing.
Duties
Provide personal care assistance and activities of daily living support Support client participation in community activities and outings
Maintain a clean, safe home environment
Communicate effectively with care coordinators and family members
Document support provided and report any concerns promptly
Respect client dignity, preferences, and independence
Follow all care plans and safety protocols
Support the client's goals and individual service plan objectives
Skills
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
Pass background check and health screening
Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written)
Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification (or already certified)
Reliability and punctuality required
Genuine commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities
Preferred Qualifications
Spanish-speaking ability (preferred)
Prior experience as a DSP, caregiver, or related home support role
Familiarity with Minnesota 245D waiver services and regulations
Training in person-centered thinking and support
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
