Handyman / Maintenance Technician – Medical Facility
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Handyman/Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and fully functional medical facility by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate is experienced in general building maintenance, takes pride in quality workmanship, and responds promptly to maintenance requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs including drywall, painting, flooring, doors, locks, and ceiling tiles.
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections of the building and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
- Replace light bulbs, filters, and other building components as needed.
- Assemble and install office furniture, shelving, and medical equipment accessories.
- Maintain HVAC systems by changing filters and reporting service needs.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and healthcare standards.
- Respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues to minimize disruption to patient care.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory of tools and supplies.
- Assist with facility improvements, renovations, and special projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of general maintenance or handyman experience.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license preferred.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
