American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position at an Ambulatory Surgery Center in San Antonio, TX, requiring OR circulating experience across multiple surgical specialties.

Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting in San Antonio, TX

Circulating OR nurse role covering ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and Plastic Surgery specialties

Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM; daily schedule may vary based on case start times

13-week contract

5 days per week, 8-hour shifts

Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS (AHA only) and ACLS (AHA only) certifications required

Minimum 1 year of OR/surgical nursing experience required

Experience circulating surgical cases in ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and Plastic Surgery required

BSN preferred

US Social Security Number required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Active, unexpired copies of all certifications required for consideration

Provides nursing care using the full nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned surgical patients

Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness

Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided

Assesses and addresses patient and family education needs, including psychological, emotional, cultural, and social factors
-
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
