We are seeking an experienced Tool Maker.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform operations common to the toolmaker trade.
- Works from blueprints, specifications, and diagrams.
- Set up and operate all tool room machinery, such as grinders, mills, drills, and lathes.
- Construct precision parts for replacement on machines.
- Make minor repairs to machines.
- May be assigned additional duties and/or special fixture projects.
- Provide and assist in training the workforce in proper setup and use of equipment/systems.
- Perform work safely, keeping tool room equipment clean and in safe working condition.
Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma/GED or trade school and 4+ years of related experience.
- Experience with machines to make tooling, using manual mills, lathes, drill press, band saw and hand grinder.
- Proficiently operate all common machining equipment: mills, lathes, and grinders.
