Job Summary:
The Recruiting Manager owns the execution side of the business — the team and function responsible for finding, qualifying, and placing technical contractors and consultants with our clients. This is a high-ownership, results-driven leadership role focused on delivery excellence: speed, quality, and consistency of placements across all active client requirements.
In daily partnership with the Business Development team, the Recruiting Manager owns the "engine" that fulfills what sales brings in. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and plays a central role in shaping how the company scales its delivery capacity as revenue grows.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Delivery Operations & Fulfillment
- Own the end-to-end delivery function: from requirement intake to candidate submission, interview coordination, and placement
- Run daily standups to align the recruiting team to active requirements and prioritize business closest to the close
- Track open requirements across all active clients and ensure the team is working the right roles at the right time
- Review and stack-rank candidate submissions before they go to the sales team; maintain a high quality bar on everything that goes to clients
- Personally handle placement of highly technical, niche, or executive-level requirements when needed
- Ensure delivery SLAs are met
Sales Team Partnership
- Serve as the primary operational partner to the Business Development team
- Participate in requisition intake calls to define technical requirements, candidate profiles, and delivery timelines with sales and clients
- Keep sales informed on submission status, recruiter progress, and any blockers; proactively communicate candidate pipeline depth
- Provide structured candidate delivery (resume review, submission notes, interview prep) so the sales team can stay focused on new business
- Participate in candidate debrief and closing conversations in partnership with sales when needed
Recruiter Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Technical Recruiters
- Set individual and team performance goals tied to placements, fill rate, submission quality, and time-to-fill
- Personally train new recruiters on sourcing techniques, technical skill set fundamentals, candidate assessment, negotiation, and closing
- Identify and develop top performers; build the team's bench as headcount grows
- Foster a culture of urgency, accountability, and delivery — a team that knows how to close
Sourcing & Pipeline Management
- Build and share search strings and saved searches (LinkedIn, Dice, etc.) for active and passive candidate pipelines
- Ensure the team maintains deep active pipelines across core IT/technical disciplines
- Develop and improve sourcing strategies across job boards, referrals, direct outreach, and niche IT communities
- Assign dedicated sourcing time-blocks to recruiters to build passive pipelines alongside active req work
Process, Tools & Reporting
- Assess and continuously improve the delivery model
- Manage ATS adoption and data integrity; ensure consistent and accurate tracking across all active requisitions
- Evaluate and lead proof-of-concept phases for new tools and technologies being considered for the delivery stack
- Track and report weekly/monthly KPIs to Executive leadership: fill rate, time-to-fill, submission-to-interview ratio, active consultant headcount, and team production metrics
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies that increase output without sacrificing quality
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- At least 4-5 years of recruiting experience in IT staffing, with at least 2 years leading a delivery team
- Deep understanding of IT roles, technology skill sets, and how to qualify technical candidates accurately
- Proven track record of running a high-output delivery function
- Hands-on sourcing skills: Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, passive candidate pipelines
- Strong operations instincts with process improvement, holding others accountable, and operational efficiency
- Experience working closely with a sales or BD team in a staffing context; strong understanding of sales/delivery dynamics
- Excellent and effective communicator
