Plumbers Supply Co. has been a trusted name in plumbing supply for over 105 years. Family-owned, locally rooted, and serious about service. Our Lexington branch is looking for a counter sales associate who knows how to read a customer, solve a problem fast, and keep things moving.
WHAT THIS JOB ACTUALLY IS
You're the first person a contractor, plumber, or homeowner talks to when they walk in or call. That means you need to know product, stay calm under pressure, and give people the right answer — not just an answer. It's a sales role, but the best counter people think of themselves as problem-solvers who happen to also be closing.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet and assist walk-in and phone customers promptly and professionally

Recommend and sell plumbing products based on actual customer needs

Process orders, quotes, and returns accurately

Track shipment schedules and push on orders when deadlines are tight

Be the go-to resource for product details, alternatives, and technical questions

Hold a professional standard at the counter — you represent the company on every interaction
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

High school diploma or GED

2+ years in sales or customer service (preferred)

Self-directed — you don't need someone telling you a customer needs help

Strong verbal and written communication

Comfortable on your feet for a full shift and able to lift 50 lbs routinely
