Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support our translational research activities. This role involves hands-on work with patient-derived samples and offers an opportunity to gain experience in both laboratory and clinical research methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process biological samples, including plasma preparation, blood cell isolation, sample labeling, storage, and maintenance of sample inventory records.
- Extract relevant clinical data from patient medical records and maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date spreadsheets.
- Perform laboratory assays, including ELISA and tissue staining, and assist with troubleshooting and optimizing experimental protocols.
- Conduct basic statistical analyses and assist in the preparation of figures, tables, and reports for presentations and scientific publications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
- Prior laboratory experience preferred, particularly in handling biological samples and performing assays such as ELISA.
- Familiarity with data management, spreadsheet tools, and basic statistical analysis.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time [40 hours per week].
- Part-time is also an option [20–30 hours per week].
- Schedule is flexible and may be adjusted depending on hospital and laboratory needs.
