- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment.
- Circulate for various surgical procedures including general OR, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, and more.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control and universal protocol procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available for procedures.
- Administer blood and blood products as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the Epic charting system.
- Participate in interdisciplinary support activities including physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.
- Must have a valid New York RN license in hand.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an OR RN Circulator in an acute care hospital setting.
- Previous charge experience required.
- Proficiency with the Epic charting system is mandatory.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and on-call duties.
- Experience with a variety of surgical procedures and patient age groups.
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility.
