Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Substitute Art Teacher to inspire creativity and foster artistic expression within our vibrant school community. Duties
- Implement prepared lesson plans in accordance with the school's curriculum and standards for art education.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying skill levels, including those with autism or special needs.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a respectful, focused, and creative atmosphere.
- Foster student engagement through innovative instructional techniques and the integration of educational technologies such as digital drawing tools and multimedia resources.
- Collaborate with regular teachers and school staff to ensure seamless curriculum implementation and consistency in student learning experiences.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming projects through various channels.
- Uphold school policies, mandated reporting laws, and child safety protocols at all times while promoting a nurturing environment for all students.
Qualifications
- Teacher Certificate
- Art Background
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, preferably within private or Montessori schools.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management specific to art education.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math integration, and early childhood education best practices.
- Familiarity with educational technologies including computers for digital art creation and classroom instruction.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Understanding of school policy guidelines, mandated reporting laws, and classroom safety procedures.
