Role Summary
The Quality & Industrial Engineering Analyst supports manufacturing operations by applying data-driven analysis, industrial engineering techniques, and quality system tools to improve product quality, process performance, and operational efficiency in a modular construction environment.
This role focuses on fact-based decision making, root cause analysis, and documentation standardization, acting as a key enabler for Continuous Improvement initiatives across production lines.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring

Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify top contributors to downtime, rework, scrap, and recurring defects.

Develop charts, dashboards, and reports to track performance by process, product, and line.

Conduct time studies and video analysis to quantify:
-
Cycle time
-
Labor utilization
-
Sources of waste
-
Provide actionable insights to support CI and engineering decisions.
Quality Engineering & Problem Solving
-
Support the development and maintenance of key quality tools, including:
-
Control Plans
-
PFMEA / MFMEA
-
Inspection standards
-
First Article / First Part Approval (FPA/FAI)
-
Coordinate and support root cause analysisusing structured methodologies:
-
Track and follow up corrective and preventive actions.
Customer & Internal Quality Support
-
Assist with:
-
Customer complaints and warranty issues
-
Internal non-conformances (NCRs)
-
Field and production feedback
-
Monitor internal defects, rework, scrap, and customer returns.
-
Support investigations and data preparation for internal and external quality issues.
Industrial Engineering Support
-
Perform time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
-
Support workload balancing across stations and support lines.
-
Identify opportunities to improve:
-
Labor productivity
-
Material flow
-
Standard cycle times
-
Provide IE support to manufacturing engineering and CI projects.
Documentation & Standardization
-
Create and maintain manufacturing and quality documentation, including:
-
SOPs
-
Operator Work Instructions (OWIs)
-
Visual standards
-
Travelers and inspection checklists
-
Consolidate and control engineering changes across documents.
-
Ensure documentation supports production, training, and compliance needs.
Cross-Functional & CI Support
-
Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, CI, Production, Programming, and Quality.
-
Support Kaizen events with data preparation, analysis, and follow-up tracking.
-
Assist with implementation and sustainment of standard work and quality controls.

Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field or 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or industrial engineering roles.

Strong data analysis skills (Excel, charts, basic statistical analysis).

Practical knowledge of:

Control Plans

PFMEA

Root cause analysis tools

Industrial engineering fundamentals
Preferred

Experience in assembly processes or building products.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.

Experience performing time studies and process mapping.
-
Exposure to ERP, MES, or data collection systems.

Salary Range: 72,000 – 78,000
